Great news about more restrictions easing from today!
The easing of rules for home gatherings, weddings, funerals, and church services is very welcome and will pave the way for us at Bayside Church to return to some kind of “normal.”
Right now, we’re looking at the fine print that will govern the next two weeks. (Further easing of restrictions will be announced on December 6 & 13). Bayside Church’s COVID-safe Response Team is meeting tomorrow to discuss this. We’re being diligent in making sure we can once again meet safely in-person.
It’s important to realise that the numbers provided (150 inside and 300 outside) are not as simple as they appear. Other considerations include physical distancing, length of time allowed inside the building, and cleaning requirements ahead of the next service.
We’re looking at installing a structure over part of the car park to protect people from the elements during outside gatherings. If you’d like to contribute to the cost of this, please donate via the website or PushPay App. Mark your gift, “Car Park.”
We’ll focus on in-person gatherings, Connect Groups, and Bayside Church Online in the coming months.
We’ll email you in a few days once we’ve received the COVID-safe Response Team report.
As always, we encourage you to engage with each other and with your community in fresh and creative ways that are safe. Our online services continue on Saturday at 6 pm and Sunday at 10 am. Christie and I, along with special guests, are on Facebook Live (and YouTube) for one hour each Tuesday at 8 pm, and we’d love you to join us.
If we can serve you during this time, or if you’d like to join a connect group, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. “We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers” (1 Thess. 1:2).
